People who love trails are worried the state budget crisis will force the closure of some popular routes, including Mount Si and Rattlesnake Ridge.
Lawmakers will consider a $278-thousand cut to the budget of the Department of Natural Resources. The cut in the Governor’s proposed supplemental budget could impact 20 DNR trail systems and campgrounds as early as March.
