Trail condition

Message:
We completed the hike on July 28th. We found the trail extremely rocky and in poor condition. It appears that DNR have not sent anyone from trail maintenance to do much with this trail. Restrooms near the parking lot were very unsanitary and appeared to receive no attention. The parking lot pot holes were deep enough to bottom-out a Honda. The area at Haystack Basin didn't provide any relaxing places to enjoy lunch nor the view. The brush and trees have not been trimmed so even Mt. Rainier was obscur for any camera shots. We won't be recommending this trail to anyone. Trails in Mt. Rainier Nat'l Park are so much better maintained and enjoyable to hike. DNR has to upgrade their standards.
